# Adapt an automation without changing everything

## Overview

Start with a result from a saved automation and identify one improvement: a different scope, parameter, naming rule, offset, or exception. Explain what is wrong and what should happen instead.

Ask for the change to be planned first. Keep the original available, test the adapted version on a small scope, and compare both the report and native result.
