# Create an automation from a repetitive task

## Overview

Start a New Chat and describe one repetitive Revit task with a clear correct result. Supply views, elements, rules, and an example; ask for a short plan before requesting the full automation.

Build a small version, inspect its report and native result, and improve one step at a time. Once it works, identify the values that should become parameters and save the workflow for reuse.

## In Ideatura

1. Choose the task and supply exact Revit context.
2. Ask questions and agree a short plan.
3. Build and run the smallest useful scope.
4. Inspect, correct, and test different inputs.
5. Save the automation with a descriptive name and documented parameters.

## Check the result

A second run reaches the expected result with a changed input and no unintended duplicates.
