# Name and save an automation so you can find it

## Overview

Name the automation after the work it performs. A useful pattern is design phase, view type, task, and an optional project number.

For example: “Technical design — floor plan — external dimensions (sample project)”. Include the relevant scope and assumptions in the description so the next run starts with the right context.

1. Choose a stable task name and optional project qualifier.
2. Save it in the appropriate workspace or project location.
3. Keep experimental and checked versions distinguishable.
4. Search for the name and confirm you can reopen and run it.
