# Create an automation for tagging

> Proposed Revit example

## Overview

Set the element category, tag type, target views, and placement rules. Include a rule for elements already tagged.

Inspect a single view, then test the workflow on another. Check missing tags, duplicates, leaders, and overlaps.

## Example request

Tag the untagged doors in the selected sample plan with the specified tag type. Preserve existing tags and report elements that could not be tagged.
```

## In Ideatura

1. Open a New Chat and provide the sample model, target and rule.
2. Ask for a short plan and resolve missing inputs.
3. Build the smallest useful version and inspect the native result.
4. Expose the varying values as parameters; save and test a second run.

## Check the result

Before and after view → exception list → saved options → second-view check.
