# Create an automation for an external facade

> Proposed Revit example

## Overview

Define the facade system, host or boundary, module spacing, openings, and the edge conditions to preserve.

Start with one small elevation. Inspect alignment, openings, junctions, and element types before extending the pattern.

## Example request

Use the marked elevation to propose a repeatable panel layout with a 1200 mm nominal module. Preserve the marked openings and identify edge panels that need adjustment before creating the layout.

## In Ideatura

1. Open a New Chat and provide the sample model, target and rule.
2. Ask for a short plan and resolve missing inputs.
3. Build the smallest useful version and inspect the native result.
4. Expose the varying values as parameters; save and test a second run.
