# Configure Auto Dimensions from start to finish

## Overview

Choose Floor plans first. Decide whether to create Per-grid dims, Overall dims or both. Set the two offsets in millimetres, then choose Per-grid sides and Overall sides. Select Dimension Style and Grid source, and decide whether to Move dimension numbers.

Use one floor plan for the first run. The screenshot’s 2000 mm and 1000 mm offsets, four sides, Revit default style and Host source are the displayed configuration; adjust them to the drawing requirement.

## In Ideatura

1. Select one required floor plan.
2. Set dimension toggles, offsets and sides.
3. Confirm style, grid source and text-position behavior.
4. Run and inspect dimension references, offsets and readability.
5. Save a named preset only after checking the result.

## Check the result

Dimensions reference the intended grids and follow the selected placement rules.
