# Understand required fields, defaults and disabled Run

## Overview

Required fields are marked with an asterisk. For text, single choice, multi-choice and attachment parameters, a required field must contain a valid answer. A prefilled value and required status are separate concepts.

Your screenshot has Floor plans required but unselected, while Run is disabled. That is consistent with the required-selection gate. Numeric fields also need valid values; an unchecked boolean remains valid.

## In Ideatura

1. Find each required field.
2. Supply missing selections, text or files.
3. Correct invalid numeric values.
4. Wait for parameter loading to finish and recheck Run.

## Check the result

The form is complete and valid before execution.
