# Capture a connected application view

## Overview

The empty capture panel asks you to select an app to capture and annotate. Choose the intended application and document before taking a visual reference.

A captured image supplies visual context. Application access determines what Ideatura can read or change in the underlying document.

## In Ideatura

1. Select the intended app and open document.
2. Frame the relevant view.
3. Capture it through the available panel controls.
4. Check the captured view before annotating.

## Check the result

The capture represents the right document and view.
