# Mark up a reference with shapes and text

## Overview

The supplied viewer toolbar includes selection, pen, shapes, text, colour, eraser, undo, redo and clear/delete controls. Mark a specific part of the image or model view and state the intended change in words.

A markup communicates intent; it does not independently establish exact dimensions or confirm a native edit. Include the dimensions, element scope and exceptions the drawing cannot express.

## In Ideatura

1. Select the appropriate drawing tool.
2. Mark one bounded change.
3. Add labels and necessary dimensions.
4. Attach the marked reference to the request.

## Check the result

The intended change is understandable without guessing the meaning of the marks.
