  1\. Account and billing
</h2>

<span id="account-and-billing-overview" />

General shows the signed-in account, Sign out, Portal and Billing, followed by subscription information. Confirm the account before investigating missing access or an unexpected allowance.

Read the plan and allowance shown for your signed-in account. Open Billing for the available subscription actions and their terms.

<span id="account-and-billing-in-ideatura" />

1. Open Settings → General.
2. Check the account.
3. Use Portal or Billing for the relevant account task.

<h2 id="credits-and-storage">
  2\. Credits and storage
</h2>

<span id="credits-and-storage-overview" />

Monthly Credits, Daily Credits and Workspace Storage are separate meters. Read the used amount, allowance and percentage for the current account.

Storage measures retained workspace material; credits relate to usage. Read each meter’s label and allowance separately.

<span id="credits-and-storage-in-ideatura" />

1. Read the current subscription status.
2. Inspect monthly and daily meters separately.
3. Inspect Workspace Storage.
4. Compare task usage through the relevant usage controls.

<span id="credits-and-storage-check-the-result" />

You can identify what has been used and which allowance applies.

<h2 id="interface-preferences">
  3\. Interface preferences
</h2>

<span id="interface-preferences-overview" />

Open Settings → UI to find the available interface preferences. Read the control’s label and note its current value before changing it.

Change one preference, return to Studio and check its effect. Restore the previous value if the change does not help your work.

<span id="interface-preferences-in-ideatura" />

1. Open Settings → UI.
2. Read the available preference and its scope.
3. Change one preference in a sample session.
4. Confirm its effect and how to restore the prior value.

<span id="interface-preferences-check-the-result" />

The preference has a visible, understood effect.

<h2 id="ai-settings">
  4\. AI settings
</h2>

<span id="ai-settings-overview" />

Open Settings → AI to inspect the available defaults. For a particular task, check the model and thinking level beside the prompt.

After changing a default, return to the conversation and check which model and thinking level are selected before sending.

<span id="ai-settings-in-ideatura" />

1. Open Settings → AI.
2. Identify the setting’s scope.
3. Compare it with the composer selection.
4. Check the effect in a new and an existing conversation.

<span id="ai-settings-check-the-result" />

You know which conversations a setting affects.

<h2 id="mcp-settings">
  5\. MCP settings
</h2>

<span id="mcp-settings-overview" />

Open Settings → MCP to inspect external tool and context connections. See [MCP connections](/studio-reference/ui-connections#mcp-connections) for what to check before using one.

Check the account, required setup fields and connection status. Read any error before retrying, and review the scope of a disable or remove action before using it.

<span id="mcp-settings-in-ideatura" />

1. Open Settings → MCP.
2. Inspect a configured connection.
3. Read its state and available actions.
4. Return to a task that uses the intended connection.

<span id="mcp-settings-check-the-result" />

The configured service and its status are understandable.

<h2 id="system-settings">
  6\. System settings
</h2>

<span id="system-settings-overview" />

Open Settings → System to inspect the controls available for capture, performance and local storage. Change one setting at a time and check its effect on image legibility, responsiveness or disk use.

Before clearing a local cache, read the confirmation to check which copies will be removed and whether they can be downloaded again. Save any work you need to keep first.

<span id="system-settings-in-ideatura" />

1. Locate the relevant system/performance control.
2. Read its unit and scope.
3. Adjust one setting for a sample task.
4. Check capture legibility or local disk effect.

<span id="system-settings-check-the-result" />

You understand the trade-off and the difference between local cache and workspace storage.

<h2 id="studio-updates">
  7\. Studio updates
</h2>

<span id="studio-updates-overview" />

The installed Studio version appears at the bottom of Settings. Include it in a support report when a guide and the application differ.

Open Updates and follow the status and instructions shown. If an update asks for a restart, save your work before restarting Studio.

<span id="studio-updates-in-ideatura" />

1. Read the installed version.
2. Open Updates and inspect the available action.
3. Follow the current update flow.
4. Confirm the version after completion.

<span id="studio-updates-check-the-result" />

The installed version and update outcome are clear.

<h2 id="repair-integrations">
  8\. Repair integrations
</h2>

<span id="repair-integrations-overview" />

Open Settings → Repair when troubleshooting an application integration. Read the available repair action and its prerequisites before running it.

After repair, reconnect the intended application and test a small task. An incorrect AI result alone does not identify an integration fault.

<span id="repair-integrations-in-ideatura" />

1. Identify the integration symptom.
2. Read the relevant repair action and prerequisites.
3. Follow its current instructions.
4. Reopen the intended target and verify connection.

<span id="repair-integrations-check-the-result" />

The affected integration works and points to the correct document.
