# MCP: configure and inspect service connections

## Overview

The MCP tab is the settings entry point for external tool/context connections. Pair its field reference with the practical connection lesson U40.

For every connection control, explain what the user must provide, how success is shown, and how the connection is disabled or removed.

## In Ideatura

1. Open Settings → MCP.
2. Inspect a configured connection.
3. Read its state and available actions.
4. Return to a task that uses the intended connection.

## Check the result

The configured service and its status are understandable.
