# Installation

> Download and install Ideatura Studio, then sign in to your account.

Ideatura Studio is the desktop app where you chat with AI and work with your drawings, models and documents.

## Download Studio

Open [ideatura.ai/download](https://ideatura.ai/download) and choose the installer for your operating system. For Revit or AutoCAD, install Studio on the Windows computer where you use that application.

You need an Ideatura account to sign in. If you received an invitation, open it and accept it first. See [Create an account](https://docs.ideatura.ai/v2/essentials/account.md) if you still need access.

## Install Studio

**Windows**

1. Close Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino and Blender before installing, so their add-ins can be installed or updated.

2. Run the downloaded `.msi` installer and click **Next**.

   The Windows Setup Wizard opens in its own window.

3. Open **Read the Terms of Service**. If you agree, select **I have read and accept the Terms of Service** and click **Next**.

   Review and accept the terms to continue with installation.

4. Leave **Install for all users** selected and click **Next**.

   Install for all users is selected by default and requires administrator privileges.

5. Click **Install**. Allow the Windows administrator prompt to continue.

6. Finish the installation and launch **Ideatura Studio**.

**macOS**

1. Open the downloaded `.pkg` installer. Close Ideatura Studio and AutoCAD, then click **Continue**.

   The macOS installer opens with an introduction to Studio and its AutoCAD integration.

2. Open **Read the Terms of Service**. If you agree, select **I have read and accept the Terms of Service** and click **Continue**.

   Review the terms before continuing with installation.

3. Follow the remaining installation prompts and authorize the installation when macOS asks.

4. Launch **Ideatura Studio** when installation finishes.

## Sign in

1. Click **Sign in** in Studio. Your browser opens for authentication; Studio shows **Waiting for the browser…**.

   Studio before signing in, on Windows.

2. Complete sign-in in the browser using the account you use in the [web portal](https://app.ideatura.ai/).

3. Return to Studio when sign-in completes. It opens an empty **New Conversation**, ready for your first prompt.

   After signing in: an empty conversation, ready for your first prompt.

If you signed in with a different account in the browser, switch to the account that has your Ideatura access before continuing.
