# Create an automation for levels

> Example request and checks for a reusable Revit workflow.

## 1. Define the levels

Define the datum, elevations, units, and level names. Make any associated view creation an explicit part of the requested scope.

Inspect the levels in elevation and compare their values with the input list. Test how the workflow handles an existing name or elevation.

## 2. Example request

Adapt this example request to the project's datum and storey heights.

```text theme={"dark"}
Create Ground at 0 mm, Level 01 at 3300 mm and Roof at 6600 mm above the project datum. Keep the existing levels and tell me about any duplicates.
```

## 3. Test the level list

1. Open a New Chat and provide the sample model, target and rule.
2. Explain what you need and answer any questions about the drawing.
3. Try it on one drawing and check the result.
4. Save the choices you want to reuse, then try another drawing.

## 4. Check the result

Compare levels in Revit with the agreed elevation table, including datum and names. Test a changed level list and confirm how existing names and elevations are handled.
