# Work in Blender

> Turn your architectural model into a short presentation video with an editable camera animation.

Use Ideatura to direct a 3D animation from an existing Blender model. Open your own architectural model, describe the camera route and presentation style, then review previews before rendering the video.

## 1. Connect your scene

Open your own project in Blender. In **Connected Apps**, select the visible **Blender session (1)**, confirm the **scene filename (2)** and check **Full access (3)**, which allows changes to the scene. The filename below is only an example.

![Connected Apps with the visible Blender session selected, its scene filename and Full Access; Blender Headless is unchecked.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura/A8Z792VTVycR60ep/images/blender/connection.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=A8Z792VTVycR60ep\&q=85\&s=8c9b20c664171ca115b570a456c68584)

**Blender Headless** is a separate session. Select the visible session for this workflow. See [Connect your model](https://docs.ideatura.ai/v2/overview/connections.md) for connection help.

## 2. Describe the animation

Explain what the camera should show, how long the video should last and the lighting you want. The screenshot shows an example request for a 15-second exterior tour, moving from the whole building toward the entrance.

## 3. Review preview frames

The images below are rendered preview frames from the editable camera animation.

Inspect the first, middle and last frames. Check the composition, window reflections, entrance and stairs. In this example, the opening camera needed to move back to include the bottom of the stairs.

Check that the middle view shows the features you asked to present, and that the final view ends at a useful detail.

## 4. Render and review

Once the previews are right, request the full render. Play the exported **MP4** from beginning to end and check its duration, movement, framing and image quality. Rendering time depends on the scene, quality settings and your computer.

Keep the separate editable **.blend** file alongside the video so you can revise the camera, lighting or materials later. Include any external textures the project needs. See [Files and outputs](https://docs.ideatura.ai/v2/overview/files.md).
