# Tabs and libraries

> Use conversations, personal copies and shared workspace libraries.

Use the menu on the left to find your chats, files and saved tools. Hover over an icon to see its name. The sections below explain where to go for each type of work.

## 1. Conversation

Use **Conversation** to describe a task, attach references and review the response. Check the model, mode and connected application beside the prompt. Keep refinements of one result in the same conversation; start another for a different task.

![Conversation composer with model, mode, connected application, request and attachment controls.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura/es2pEmCgfCrT5MoG/images/studio-tour/task-controls.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=es2pEmCgfCrT5MoG\&q=85\&s=93af07a25dfe72037f7b2058be64ca9e)

## 2. History

Open **History** and search by title to find a previous conversation. Use its row menu to rename or remove it. **Mark all as read** clears unread indicators; **Stop all** affects running work.

![History: 1 tab; 2 title search; 3 conversation menu with Rename and Remove.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura/es2pEmCgfCrT5MoG/images/studio-tour/history.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=es2pEmCgfCrT5MoG\&q=85\&s=848a8f452cfd32480d91d07ea381ba5b)

Read the retention notice and keep important files and reusable instructions separately from the conversation. This example says personal conversations are kept for 30 days.

## 3. Workbench

**Workbench** holds your personal editable copies. Use **Search** to find a file, **New folder** to organise work and **Upload** to add material. Editing your copy does not update the shared source; check the destination before sharing it.

![Workbench header with Search, New folder and Upload controls; personal file rows are outside the crop.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura/MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV/images/studio-tour/workbench-controls.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV\&q=85\&s=40be5ca96fb5ff56b2ab7cace56d9aec)

## 4. Automations

Search **Automations** for saved work in the selected workspace. Use **Open in new chat** to discuss an entry, or **Run** and **Run with params** to launch it. Folders, sorting, **Collapse all** and **New Chain** organise the collection. See [Shared library](https://docs.ideatura.ai/v2/essentials/automations.md#share-with-your-team) for saving and organising automations.

## 5. Skills

Open **Skills** to find reusable instructions. Use **Search** to find a skill or **New skill** to begin one; **Guidelines** holds standing workspace conventions. A skill describes a method, while an automation runs saved work.

## 6. Projects

Open **Project files** to find the model and reference material for your job. Keep related drawings, photographs and PDFs together. This earlier screenshot labels the area **Projects** and shows a sample IFC model with its reference images.

![Projects library with project selector and an expanded Leadenhall sample folder containing an IFC model and reference images.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura/MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV/images/studio-tour/project-library.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV\&q=85\&s=3ef33b272ebd05bfb7050aa232129286)

You can also keep related chats in a project: for example, room drawings and model checks for the same building. Click the project name at the top of a chat. In **Move chat**, search for a project **1**, choose the destination **2**, then select **Save 3**. The example shows the current project, so Save is inactive until the destination changes.

![Move chat dialog: 1 search for a project; 2 choose the destination; 3 Save. The current destination is selected and Save is inactive.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura/xXOaXcRohIF9QPl2/images/studio-tour/project-move-chat.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=xXOaXcRohIF9QPl2\&q=85\&s=3031e87f56c7a927c204c8a9f0df6136)

Moving a chat does not select a different Revit file. Check **Connected Apps** before asking for changes to your model.

## 7. Timeline

Use **Timeline** to search workspace output, then open **Filter** to narrow it by **Kind** or **Added by**. This example searches for “Grid dimensions” and shows **Nothing matches**. Broaden the search or clear filters if the file does not appear.

![Timeline search for Grid dimensions returns Nothing matches; Filter offers file categories and Added by Me or Others.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura/MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV/images/studio-tour/timeline-filter.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV\&q=85\&s=9c06be340d362e0bcc64694f6f0f97cd)

Read the retention notice and save useful output in the appropriate library. This example says Timeline contains everything produced in the workspace and keeps it for 30 days.

## 8. Trash

Use **Trash** to find deleted files and check their time remaining. Search for the item you need before choosing a recovery action. **Restore all** and **Delete all** affect multiple files, so review the list first. The example shows these controls without running either action.

![Trash with Search, Restore all, Delete all and time remaining for three example files; no action performed.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura/MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV/images/studio-tour/trash-controls.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV\&q=85\&s=ee0c5968f7157462a548818fe770155a)

## 9. Find files

Search the current library, then open the file’s three-dot menu. Check its name and location before choosing an action. This IFC example offers **Download**, **Reference** and **Copy**. Use [Timeline filters](#timeline) when you need to narrow a search by category or author.

![Project IFC file menu with File menu, Download, Reference and Copy annotated; no action has been run.](https://mintcdn.com/ideatura/MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV/images/studio-tour/project-file-actions.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=MJjOHsAEvSnNfHZV\&q=85\&s=941f64a2ae07b27c43b7f172eea66b7b)
