Overview

Define origin, axes, spacing, count, extents, and grid labels. Separate the fixed naming rule from the values that change between projects. Build and inspect one grid layout, then repeat with different spacing. Check intersections, labels, extents, and the treatment of existing grids.

Example request

Create orthogonal grids in the sample project from this origin. Use five axes at 6000 mm spacing in one direction and four at 7500 mm in the other. Label them A–E and 1–4. Report existing naming conflicts before changes.
