Core concepts
- Studio is the desktop app where you chat, add references and review results in viewers. The web portal is where you manage your account and subscription.
- A chat keeps a task’s instructions, replies and results together. Connected Apps selects the open application document AI can work on.
- A workspace holds your team’s shared files, skills and automations. A project groups related chats.
- A skill is a reusable set of instructions. An automation is a saved task with inputs you choose before running it. The shared library makes these available to your team.
- A scene brings 3D content together in a viewer. IFC is a building-model file format you can work with directly in Studio. A markup is a note or drawing on a viewer that helps you point AI to a specific area.
Who Ideatura is for
Architects start the model, engineers detail it, BIM managers keep it clean. Ideatura works on that one model they all touch.- Architects: take a round of comments from the redlined PDF to the revised set without redrawing by hand. Ideatura reads the markup, changes the model and rebuilds the sheets it affects.
- Drafters: dimensions, tags, views and sheets across a whole set, in Revit or AutoCAD. Show one example, and Ideatura repeats it across the view or the set.
- Building engineers: detail elements, junctions and assemblies, developed from your project and your references and kept in line with the model.
- Structural engineers: bring structural models and drawings into the coordinated model, review them against the architecture and send back what needs fixing.
- MEP engineers: model services, tag and dimension pipe and duct runs, and produce sheet sets for plumbing, HVAC and electrical, in the same live model the rest of the project uses.
- BIM managers: check models and drawing packs against your rules, keep them clean, and keep the methods that work in one library the whole office uses.
- BIM developers: describe the method once. Ideatura writes it, tests it on your model and saves it as an automation with inputs others can run without touching code.
- Compliance & regulations: turn the code you work to into checks, run them on the model and the set, and get the issues back where people can act on them.
- Reporting & analysis: quantities, schedules and takeoffs already live in the model. Ideatura reads the live model directly, so reports come from the same source as the drawings instead of a copy that drifted out of date.
Why use Ideatura
- Keep working in your existing tools. Make changes directly in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino or Blender, and review the results in your project.
- Carry a task across files and applications. Bring in marked-up PDFs, DWGs, IFC models and specifications, then use them together to update and document your design.
- Reuse your team’s expertise. Save standards as shared skills and successful tasks as automations that colleagues can run with their own inputs.
What you can do with Ideatura
Create 3D models
Build and edit 3D models in IFC, Revit, Rhino or Blender using your instructions and references.
Create Revit families
Create parametric families from references. Adjust their geometry, dimensions and materials.
Automate QA/QC
Ask AI to verify your model, drawings and documentation. Produce ready-to-share reports, review directly in Revit or AutoCAD, and let AI fix issues.
Prepare drawings in Revit or AutoCAD
Create plans, sections and elevations. Add dimensions and tags, then arrange drawings on sheets.
Share reusable automations with your team
Save repetitive tasks as automations with editable inputs. Share them through your workspace’s library and run them on other projects.
Annotate PDFs with AI
Ask AI to add annotations to your PDFs. Mark up drawings, highlight details and add notes, then review the annotated document.
And more
Work with documents and spreadsheets, inspect project information and coordinate changes across applications.
