A schedule is a data output. A set of type elevations or a room drawing package is a different deliverable.

1. Choose the objects

Specify the categories and whether the task uses Rooms, Areas or other elements. A CAD boundary or scope box does not substitute automatically for a Room. State phase, linked-model scope and exclusions.

2. Specify the table

List fields, units, filters, grouping, sorting and totals. Decide whether to inspect an existing schedule or create a new result. Ask for unresolved prerequisites before changes; available operations depend on the application and task.

3. Check the values

Compare representative rows and totals with native element properties, and identify omitted or duplicate elements. Keep model-data consistency separate from the correctness of the underlying design. See Inspect model data.
